I want to play field hockey in college (D1), but the thing is, I'm not a starter. Its not that I'm not good, I'm very good with a lot of potential, its just that our team always goes to states and wins right? So I just don't start or even play that much.
And I reaalllyyy wanna play in college. So I'm a junior, and if you wanna play in college, you have to start sending out things already. The thing is, I don't want to because I don't start, so its just doesnt look too good.
So what should I do? I have to start thinking about it already
If you think as yourself as a good enough player, which I'm sure you are why don't you send papers out for colleges to come watch you, and talk to your coach before hand about starting because you have a college watching you, if she won't let you then don't make a big deal out of it, they won't all deny you just because you don't start.
