If you do, it doesn't really matter. What usually works for me, is that if your press the pound button (#) it'll have different things that you can type. So if you wanna text numbers, press the pound button until "123" comes up. When you want to stop and text letters, press it again until "abc" comes up or something. Another thing that works, is if you're texting with letters, just hold a button for a while. (maybe for about 2-3 sec?) Then a number will come up. For example, if you hold the "4" button, a 4 will come up, and it'll automatically be set to "123" to where you can text numbers... Hope this helps and makes sense! :] [ xeViLxShArPiEx's advice column | Ask xeViLxShArPiEx A Question ]

to get to the texting you press the "envelope" button on the keys above the red "end" button. you go to "create new text"
when you get to the text screen, to change the options such as from letters to numbers you press the center button at the very top of the screen with the horizontal line going across it... this brings you to a menu that lets you change from letters to numbers.
