in factory girl, who is "the musician" supposed to be? i heard it was supposed to be bob dylan, but when i read about it it said that his publicists denied that they were together so they made him anonymous in the movie, but if it was in the tabloids that he and edie were together, wouldn't people know anyway..?

it is supposed to be bob dylan but since he wouldn't allow his name to be used because it implyed that he was the one who drove edie to her death they had to leave him nameless. Bob dylan and Edie were together at a point in their lives, not the same way they show in the movie however: they didn't go to the lake house and talk. The scene where warhol told her Bob was now married would have come at the very begining if this had been acturate due to the fact these two got together very quickly and breifly in the very beginning of her stardom. However he merely left her and never actually asked her to come with him in the end. He wrote leapord skin pill case for her. Hope i helped:)
