hey what are indie kids? like independent kids?
i mean its like a clique or something
but how do you tell who is one
and like whats an independent film? i googled but it didnt help

Indie kids are kids who don't really like mainstream things, like the "coolest" clothes (Abercrombie, Hollister, etc.) or the "coolest" music at the time. Indie kids would probably not listen to bands like Nickelback or the Jonas Brothers. Here is a list of bands that indie kids might listen to:

people usually say indie kids to refer to people who listen to indie music or watch indie films or who just basically have interests that are outside of the "norm". It doesn't mean that they are necessarily independent, personality or lifestyle wise, they just aren't into popular music or media.
also, in case you aren't familiar, indie music means that it is produced by an independent record label (one that is not affiliated with a major record company)

an indepentdent film is one where the actors aren't paid. most of the time the actors that are in them want to get their name out.
for example, juno was an independent film. thats why it started out in few theaters.
sometimes they go big like juno did and other times no one has even heard of it.
