standard rates.. what are they? because im scared that i'm going to get charged on my next phone bill (cellphone bill) that my dad pays.. and he warned me that if he had any surprise charges that i'd be in big trouble, so here's the story, last night, i voted for the mtv vmas coming up through text messaging and it said standard rates apply so will i get charged?

it depends on wat company your with...
like i blieve the mtv vmas are spronsored
with AT&T so if you have that company its
free or if you have unlimited txt msges
you will only be charged your monthly fee..
but when you go over you txting limit they
just charge you additional txting rates..but
it really just depends on what plan have
&& what company your with ]
If you have unlimited texting, then you don't have to worry. It depends on which phone service you have (ex. verizon) because they all have different prices for standard rates. I have AT&T and I think it's ten cents every text message, but if you have an unlimited texting plan, then you're fine. You won't be charged for those. ]
