Long Distance 17/f
so there's this guy that i met at a camp about a month ago, but he lives almost 2000 miles away. Because of money, we wouldnt be able to visit each other ever, so I decided we couldnt have a real relationship.
The problem is, we still talk on the phone almost every night for several hours. I enjoy his company and all, but I cant continue this because I just wont have the time. But hes homeschooled, so he has absolutely no experience in the love department. Hes become very attached, and i dont want to hurt him because i still like him, we just couldnt work out.
How do I slowly detach myself without hurting his feelings or totally losing contact?

Your just gonna have to tell him. Just let him know that you guys can't work out because of how far you guys live. Just let him know that you still want to be friends but that it can't be more than that because of where you guys live. The only way he will know is if you tell him. Let him know you do still care about him but that it wouldn't work out. Hopefully he will be understanding and will accept that. Good luck! ]
i think you should tell him that you don't want to hurt him but you think that you guys would be better off being friends for now since you are so far away. and tell him maybe you'll get to see him next summer and you can pick up things from there if you guys are still in contact. and tell him you understand that he really likes you but you guys can not have a real relationship since you are so far away from each other.
good luck! ]
