There are various ways that we "identify" ourselves to strangers.

Most blatantly, we can talk about our home town by identifying it by the actual name, and then describing our home's outside appearance. These things may be revealed over time in many conversatiions, but if a TRUE stalker is thinking of victimizing someone, the stalker will keep records of little bits of information that is gleaned over time.

Other information can be you cut your hair so it is only at your shoulders and dyed it blonde and you like to wear a turquoise berret on your hair. These are little things.

I once rode the bus and EVERYONE heard this woman on a cell telephone saying to someone out loud that her sixteen year old daughter was home all alone, mentioned what neighborhood she lived in, gave her home telephone number, and the name of her daughter! One man said, "Lady, you really should not be talking like that on a public bus where everyone can know your daughter is home all alone like that, I even know what street you live on!" She got mad and told the man to mind his own business! That is what I am talking about, and that was a true happening!

Always ask yourself, does what I want to tell this person identify me or my family in any way? Yes, I live on a street with trees, but that is not going to tip anyone off. If I say I live within six blocks of the power plant in Yipsilanti Michigan (note--- I do NOT live in Michigan!!!) then that narrows the search for the stalker.

That is what I mean.
