best hair products

Question Posted Monday August 4 2008, 2:16 pm

PLEASE NOTE: i JUST googled "best hair products" and i didn't quite find what i was looking for.

i have naturally REASONABLY straight hair, very thick (i'm indian), and it gets greasy fast.

usually, i blowdry and straighten, and sometimes i just let it airdry.

i wanted to know... what are your favorite hair products? please take into consideration my hair type!

feel free to contribute to any of the following categories:
- smooth & / or silky
- straight
- shine
- soft
- maintains fly-aways
- smells good

for either shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, creams... etc.

i'm NOT looking for volume! my hair is already very thick and when i wear it curly it extends like 2 feet away from my head.

NOTHING ABOVE $20 PLEASE!

thank youu

If you blow dry and straighten your hair most of the time you may want a Heat Protection product for your hair. It will help with the intense heat from styling all the time. I would recommend a spray rather than a cream also. A good product to try would be "Thermasilk". Mostly all of there products help against heat including shampoo's, conditioners, heat protection spray, de-frizz sprays and shine serums.
The best part about the brand "Thermasilk" they're very cheap, and can be found in most drug stores.
The heat protection will help your hair be more smooth, silky and shiny without extra oil.
Hope that helps

First of all straightening and blowdrying your hair a lot causes major damage. Therefore, I'd reccommend using a repairing product. I don't know of any myself, as I'm not into the blowdry and straighten everyday thing, but I'm sure if you go to your local drugstore and into the shampoo/conditioner isle, they'll have a few to choose from.

Some products I personally like, are Garnier Frutis. I especially like the hairspray and conditioner. Dove also makes amazing shampoo. I think the one I use [and like a lot] is Cool Moisture. It makes your hair really soft and shiny. =]
