I became a level 2 moderator after a lot of hard work and dedication to this site. I was a member of the site for over one year, I rated questions like crazy (when you become a level 1 moderator, your job is to rate questions based on whether or not you believe they are good for the site based on site standards listed in our FAQ).
I talked a lot about site improvements with the creator, we got along well, and she entrusted me to help with the running of her site. There are usually about 10 level 2 moderators. The current owner of the site has been working on a lot of behind the scenes work for this site so he hasn't had time to update the site administrators.
