It can be caused by several things: hearing loss, listening to music too loudly, and some medications. Sometimes medication can help this, but it is often a case of put up with it. If it gets too bad, there are masking devices you can buy for nighttime use for sleeping. So please be assured that you are not going nutty or hearing things that would be part of voices in your head. This is clearly a medical condition of an audiological nature. Evry one hears this from time to time But if it is constant you need to talk to your doctor and get the proper treatment for it..
