I have the LG Chocolate vx8550. I heard it's going to be discontinued soon since the LG Chocolate 3 came out. The speaker in my phone is slowly beginning to wear out. If for some reason it needs to be replaced and it is discontinued, will they have the same model in stock? What happens if it's discontinued? Thanks!!

LaceyIsPrettyBomb answered Monday July 21 2008, 12:28 am: i have the first chocolate phone.. the vx8500 and i just had to get a new one last month because of issues with the phone. when they discontinue a phone they have to keep manufacturing it for 2 years so if things go wrong with peoples phones or it gets lost/stolen/broken, they can issue a new phone. so unless you keep the phone for more than two years after they discontinue it, then your all set if you need a new one. if you do happen to keep the phone for longer than that, then they have to issue you a phone of equal value, so you would get the new chocolate phone instead.
