i've had my period for about 3 years now so i know that about a week before i get my period i have pms but mostly just cravings for food!!!
so lately i've been eating everything from ice cream to little mini eclairs. but like...a lot. i just crave it. CHOCOLATE
but lately i've been exercising a lot having soccer practice 4 times a week and sometimes even running a mile and a half after a slow practice.
i'm not quite sure if the craving is coming from my period or my practicing! can you help me here?
it'd be also soooo awesome if you could give me some great snacks that will settle my craving for chocolate but are also healthy enough that i can eat every day! not just chocolate..but sweets too.
If you feel you really can't pass up that chocolate craving, try some chocolate milk. Of course, that's not natural sugars, but at least you're getting a serving of calcium out of it.
VictoriaGrace answered Thursday July 17 2008, 1:57 am: It's most likely both. Your body craves sugars when you exercize to reboost your system however the more you eat the sooner your body crashes from the sugar high and the more you immediatly crave and when you have your period you crave in general:) Try granola bars like Chewie bars: Cocolate chip, smores, chocolate and peanut butter,( all these are types of Chewie bars) And take advice from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkiban(?): Put a hershey bar in your pocket. Nibble in tiny portions when you want a little boost of chocolate during the day to keep you happy and energized. Also try chocolate viatimin shakes, like Breakfast drinks, 27 vitimins to keep your body energized and yummy taste to give you a good vibe:) Hope I helped:) [ VictoriaGrace's advice column | Ask VictoriaGrace A Question ]
