Help me understand what happened here, please

Question Posted Sunday July 13 2008, 5:24 pm

18/M. I apologize that this is a long question. I needed your help trying to figure something out. I was going to the mall to pick my g.f. up when she got off work, and I'd just ran into my ex. My ex had returned the pictures in this wallet size picture carrier from when we was together to me, but I didn't realize that she had a picture of our son, whom we put up for adoption in there. When I got to the mall, I had to use the restroom, and was walking down this long hallway to the restrooms when I checked to see what time it was. When I pulled my cell phone out of my pocket, the pictures my ex had given me tumbled out, and the woman behind me picked them up and said "Sir, you dropped these." Since I didn't realize my son's picture was in there, I said "Oh, that's my ex. My g.f. is probably going to make me get rid of those any ways." b/c, well, my current g.f. is usually the jealous type. Since there wasn't a trash can nearby, I saw the woman with the picture carrier in her hand as she went into the women's room and I went into the men's.

Right after I went in where my g.f worked, I thought about that the pic of my son was in there, and that's irreplaceable b/c the couple who adopted our son only gave us one the only time we saw them after my ex gave birth, and we don't know where they are now. I told my g.f about what had happened, and she and a female janitor went through all the trash in the women's room and didn't find it. They weren't in the mall lost and found either. We checked the mall to find the girl, and we couldn't catch her to ask her before she left.

Do you have any idea what she could've done that the pictures wouldn't have been in the trash? I know that I am basically screwed on ever getting that picture back. Why I'm asking is this is that not being able to figure out anything about what might have happened to my son's picture is really, really, really bothering me, so any ideas you have would be appreciated! Thanks!

So women expecily older get lost in though and love pictures. so i would say it sounds to me like she carried them off, or maybe she flushed them down the toilet. Never know, but i would say she carried them off. Check the trash cans through out the mall she could of threw them away there. i would say it does seen odd for a women or anyone to not threw them away in the bath room if anything. If you want another picture of your son you can see if your Ex has extra pics so you can photo copy one.
