my doctor called and left a message on our voicemail. she said that after looking at my blood i was normal except that my blood sugar level was real low. it was 59 and normal is at the lowest 70. she asked if i have been feeling tired/sluggish a lot (and i do sometimes) and if yes, then we could maybe identify my problem. what would my problem be? and asked if i'm not feeling sluggish if i eat three meals a day. which i do, i probably eat more than that. i'm always hungry. what could my problem be?

Im a hypoglycemic and last time I was checked, I was a 61. I wasnt sure what to do about low blood sugar or how to help it. If you have LOW blood sugar, do you eat more sugar? Hmm. But Im not about to take my blood every hour.
Also if I dont eat properly, I feel...odd. I feel like I cant stand straight and my legs are just jello, and my hands and head start to tingle. Like when you get lightheaded! And youre not dizzy, but it sorta seems like the room is spinning? I cant really explain too well. But Ive read that studies say eating five small meals rather than three large meals is better for your metabolism and suck.
Also, the doctor suggested that I keep an eye on my blood pressure. Low blood pressure could be a likely culprit. Its probbbably both. It is for me.
And I think for low blood pressure, its good to have salt. Lots and lots of salt. I THINK!
Definitely go to a doctor rather than follow what I say. Just patient first for a checkup :]
Sorry to babble, but Im not 100 percent on this either but I could relate [ xxDearLee's advice column | Ask xxDearLee A Question ]

It does not really mean that you are diabetic. Sometimes your blood sugar lowers because maybe you did not eat or it depends on your activity before you took the test. However if your doctor orders more test and you continue to have low bllod sugar and is symptomatic your doctor may prescribe something to get your sugar up or may teach you how to control your sugar through your diet. When your feeling tired or hypoglycemic you can drink orange juice or eat a snack that consist of carbohydrates that will help boost your energy and bring your blood sugar up. Hope this advise helps you. [ nurse30's advice column | Ask nurse30 A Question ]

To be honest, it's best not to try and diagnose yourself, because people always think the worst and trick themselves into having something major, when in fact, there's barely anything wrong at all.
You and your doctor will come to a conclusion soon and build up your blood sugar levels. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
