belly button piercing--red bump

Question Posted Sunday July 13 2008, 12:52 am

Okay so i have my belly button pierced and i have for about 2 months now. Anyway, i just like developed a bump i guess you could say around the whole. It's not really sore and it's not like a huge bump but its decently small but noticeable. Anywayy, my question is if this is going to disappear and what i can do to make it go away faster if it can. I clean it every day in the shower and i have special cleanser after so help if you can! Thanksss!

Continue to use the antibacterial soap in the shower, and buy a bottle of Bactine. I know that the new mode of thinking is to not touch the piercing or put anything on it, but trust me. In the old days the Bactine was squirted on the area all day long practically and it kept infections out. You have an infection. If the Bactine does not clear it out in a couple days, go see a physician. Keep the area totally clean and dry...not rubbing on clothing etc inbetween Bactine cleaning.

it could just be red from being red, did teh redness- go away prior rot he bump?
if it didnt this it is heeling..
ti'll feel funny..(you can't seeit thuogh, right?)

my sister though(who got her belly periced aprox. a year and 2 months ago) developed a red bump and it grew to something.. not so great & eventually had to take out her belly button ring.

so here are my suggestions to you..
CLEAN YOUR BELLY BUTTON ATLEAST 2/3 TIMES A DAY
and clean it everytime youre done working out/sweating/swimming/showering, etc..

DO NOT PLAY WITH IT
do not change it for another month
just turn it like you're supposed to
trust me, i know what i'm talking about- i have one. :D

but mine feel like abump still too ( i took it out and felt it, but i rememebred it used to.. i haven't "felt it" in a while, i usualy just uh, cahnge it?

anyways.
any questions catch me on aim at
Dejavu x3x3

goodluck.
