Okay, i've been on birth control since september of '07 and my period starts on a sunday and so on and so forth. Well on august 3rd i am going on a cruise which is a sunday..and the day i'm supposed to get my period. I'd really prefer not to have it then so i was talking to some of my friends who are also on it and they said they've skipped their birth control for like a week or two and then just got back on it, like started it on the sunday again. Well what i'm wondering is if anyone has ever did this and thinks that it would be safe for me to finish the rest of my pack (which ends this week) and not start my new pack for another two weeks and then my period will coincide with whenever i start my pack..i really hope this makes sense and i hope someone can help. thanks!
What you can do is skip your "period pills" After finishing your active pills, don't take the placebo pills. Just start your next pack of active pills. =]

Unless you are not planning on having sex on the cruise or you really want to get pregnant. Because that is a sure way of getting pregnant fast! Stopping your pill does not always mean you wont get your period you may bleed heavier!
call you Doctor and just ask . You better be safe then sorry after all its only a quick call to your doctor.
