I really want to start taking piano lessons, do you think it's too late to start?
Because I've written so many songs and I just want to put music to them...but I don't know how to convince my parents to let me take them. It would be every Saturday and 20 dollars a lesson.
I'm already involved in so much...choir, newspaper, cheerleading, student senate...
But I get good grades! I have an A averge and this is something I really want. How should I convince them?

If you keep an A average along with all of those extra activities you do, Id call you a saint. Or a magician. Something of the like.
Youd think your parents would be crazy not to let you do a few piano lessons! Tell them you deserve a little of what you think is fun. Thoughhh that would probably be the cheerleading, wouldnt it?
I agree with the person ahead of me.
Offer to pay half. Buut you might have to take up a job to get the money if you dont have an allowance, although you are fifteen.
Learn to weigh out your priorities.
Which means the most to you; a goodlooking college application, a few extra friends, etc. etc.
Im not sure what else to say. Ive been babbling long enough.
Welll good luck! [ xxDearLee's advice column | Ask xxDearLee A Question ]

Having an A average is a great thing, and if you can use that as a point in asking for piano lessons (which I believe it's never too late to learn something - just the later it is, the more difficult it becomes) then so be it.
The best way of getting something you want (especially something that costs money) is working for it or helping pay for it.
