jazzing

Question Posted Thursday June 19 2008, 1:38 am

so i got this hair dye at Sally's called Jazzing. the exact color is called Racy Wine which is basically fuschia. it can be temporary or semi-permanent depending on how long you leave it in for and if you process with heat. i wash my hair every other day so the lady at the store said the color should last like 4-6 weeks. twice i have put a strand of the color in my hair, and it always looks good. but as soon as i wash it the first time, which is usually the next day or the one after, it fades sooo much and is all downhill from there. my hair is naturally light blonde, so i dont have to bleach it for the color to show up well, it's just getting it to stay in. on the bottle it says for semi-permanent, leave the color in for 30-45 minutes and process with heat, which i did both times. i cant figure out what im doing wrong to get the color to stay in. any suggestions? the lady at the store said it was a really good brand that alot of people use, and it was cheaper than manic panic, so yeah...

i currently have my whole head dyed racey wine.
jazzing is a great brand because its really cheap and makes my hair really soft.
you should stick to it.
it walways comes out in about 2 washes but a bottle should last you about 3 dyes.
i recoment you stick to jazzing and maybe just bleach your hair really light so the color sticks better.
thats what works for me at least.
good luck!=]

Semi-permanent will come out in like 6 to 8 washes (usually, it might depend on the brand). If I were you, I wouldn't wash my hair as much. Sounds gross, but for those I know who've used semi-permanent dye, they just didn't wash their hair much. You could try to leave the dye in longer next time, but you might not get the same color result. Your best bet is to just try the manic panic dye.
