Talking to your parents about this kinda stuff is tough most of the time, especially when they like to chime in with what they think before you get to your point. So before you do anything, go to your dad, and say "Hey, i have something important to say, and i need you to just listen and let me talk till I'm finished before you say anything" Get him to agree to that before you say anything. When you do that most of they time parents listen. Let him know that you are having urges again, but you are working towards not doing it. On your own, a shrink. But in order to do that you need a "safe buddy", someone to call and hang out with when you are feeling like cutting.
I think that once he listens to the reason for the constant phone use you will be a little more lax about it.
IF things aren't going well with your father however, and you say that is one of the reasons that makes you want to cut, try strengthening your relationship with him. It may not really be something you want to do. But chances are it will help. Set up that once a week at 7 pm or something you and him will play a card game or something. A little bit of time for you to spend time with each other, no need to spill about your personal life or anything, just time to spend with him.
I really hope you can get past this, its an awful thing to have to go through. But i know you can if you really want to.
Just remember that you have people that can help you get over it. So don't ever feel as if you are going through it alone.
