Internet keeps shutting off?

Question Posted Monday June 9 2008, 1:58 am

My friends internet keeps shutting off and I've been trying to help her find a solution. She doesn't know what's wrong, but it could be viruses or something. She's been running anti-virus scans and stuff, but I think everything's fine. Everytime she gets on her internet (she has Mozilla Firefox), it like shuts down 5 sec later. What's the problem? What does she need to do in order to fix this?

mine use to do that too
its because the cable loosens
or the box is just messed up
tell her to get a new motem box

thats what i did and now no problems
