Notification of airline arrival on-time status via texting?

my friend is flying over to see me and i want to have the airlines send me notifications if they are late or anything. but on the site it doesnt say anything about cost. it says you must be able to recive texts. i have unlimited text but no internet and picture sending. i have at&t and the airline is american.. does it cost anything? is it hidden costs?

No mention of any charges. It does say your phone must be able to accept e-mails.

The only question left is does your cell phone service charge for INCOMING text / e-mail messages?

You probably have their number, since you get bills from them. ;-)

As for the American Airlines end of things... if you want to double check freeness (new word) of AA's service:
