thelaura answered Sunday June 1 2008, 9:01 am: I use a conditioner (and sometimes shampoo) which is specifically for hair that needs protection against heat. Look out for them, there's many out there. If for some reason you can't find them, just make sure you use a good conditioner for dry/damaged hair (even if your hair isn't dry or damaged!)
Before I blow dry or straighten my hair, I then add on a heat protection spray.
All of the above I've mentioned that I, personally use are by Lee Stafford. If you don't have them in your area, don't worry about it - they all do the job. Next time you go shopping, look out for some that are in your price range :)
Remember, if you straighten it every day (like I have to do), it won't stop it becoming damaged 100%. So every few months, make sure you get the ends cut - as they're the main areas that are affected through heat. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
