Spotting or Period?

Question Posted Saturday May 24 2008, 10:23 pm

I was told that once I began my period that I could come in and get my Depo Provera shot. I had very light pink/brown discharge for about 1-2 days and a day later I noticed that it seemed somewhat red. The next day it was still red, but light and there was a clot. I asked the nurse if this was my period and she said that it sounded like it was so I went in and got my Depo shot. The very next day I noticed that I had light pink/brown discharge and my "period" stopped. During this time I had no cramping, my breasts didn't hurt, no headaches, etc..just that. I was wondering if this was normal with a Depo shot, if that was really my period and if it wasn't, was it okay for me to get that shot. Also, I was wondering how long after the shot should I wait to have sex? And what if I had sex like two days later? Thanks!
