good duets but recent songs
okay so im gonna sing in the talent show 8th grade 2 weeks fro now and im singing with my friend and shes a GIRL
what kan i sing with her? that doesnt seem weird because WE ARE GIRLS and not a couple
love songs can work too but i want a great one and i dont want ppl to sleep while we sing
we have a tough crowd. lol
oh and its gonna be my first time singing on stage i ight get nervous! i want this performance to be a memorable 8th grade thing

there is a really great country song called "leave the pieces" by the wreckers. its a great song and there arent really any high notes. its perfect. its a faster song, but not way fast. i think it would be perfect. there is also another song by the wreckers called "my oh my". that one is good to. aly and aj also have good songs. Sugarland is a good duet. i would recommend "settlin","everyday america", and "baby girl". those are the faster country songs, also. they would be great. you can look any of these songs up on youtube and decide. hope i helped!

ok so everyone knows the potential breakup song so that might be really nice. there are high pitched notes in there and i get paid to sing and i did that song for a show a couple of months ago. you just need to make sure that you are hitting each note on beat and on the correct pitch.
also if you want to do something a little older, there's this great song that requires EXTREMELY HIGH PITCHED NOTES. i did the song as well and it blows people away. it's "tell him" by celine dion and barbra striesand.
if you like the musical "chicago" you can do the "cell block tango" which was really good and you can split it into 2 people instead of 6, it's really easy.
if you want more of a "spice sexy" edge you can always do beautiful liar by beyonce and shakira.
also you don't have to necessarily get a duet... you can always decide who sings what even if it's a solo.

A good song for you two to sing is an aly and aj song they're both girls and there songs are really good im sure you could sing the songs and do a great job. Good Luck!!!
