ancle/foot

Question Posted Friday May 16 2008, 7:04 pm

monday night= Kay, so i did a flip on the trampoline and my brother screemed mid-flip and it caught me off guard so i panicked and did something with my feet so when i landed it i landed on my right foot all weird. so i couldn't walk so i went inside and stayed off it till my mom came home...i was balling...it hurt SO bad. so anyway, my mom toke me to the Emergency room and i got it ex-rayed and they said its just a REALLY bad sprain. well i got crutches and used them for tuesday at school. for wendsday my foot felt better so i walked on it it hurt so bad i think i made my foot worse so i used my crutches on thursday. Today i didn't and my foot feels fine. like nothing hurts like it hurts everynow and then but my doctor says i still need to wear this support thingey. but i don't need it...my foot feels fine she said i needed to keep this thing on for weeks so i'm out of gym for the rest of the school year. but my class is going on a field trip to a pool next friday. so should i just take it off before i get in and then put it back on for the ride home? also, can i take this thing off or should i keep it on? my doctor also told me to do these exersises like soak my foot as long as i could stand it in ice cold water then in hott and do that times back and forth...back and forth. then i'm supposed to hold my leg up and move JUST MY ANCLE and spell out the ABC's all in CAPS =] lol so yeah i think that i should do these exercises cuz even though i'm not a doctor..she knows best so should i just follow her instructions? I don't have a problem with it. so i don't mind if you say that. But my real question is can i still go on my clasts trip? Like, i really want to go because i'm in 8th grade and i really want to go because this trip is like our "class" trip where the WHOLE grade goes. ITs gonna be SOOOOO much fun so i don't want to miss it. also, if i do go i don't wanna just go to just sit on a bench thats not what i want to do so please help me because i already turned in my permission slip and i need to know if i have to ask for it back because i can't go.

thanks in advance

and SORRY this thing was so long...and thanks for the people who actually took the time to read this wholeee thing =]

thanks agian =]

wear the support thing and go, but if you want to swim or whatever then take it off, unless it can get wet. just be extra careful, and keep in mind that you do have a risk of making the injury worse.
