ok i have been dating this guy for 8 months and things were going great until yesterday on our 8th month anniversary he started snapping at me about some guy who was asking me to be his girlfriend. he got really mad and started cussing at me. its like he lost control of himself and turned into this monster or whatever. and today he did the same thing and he kept asking the same question over and over again until i snapped at him and said something i shouldnt have said and then he got really pissed and signed off of aim. until 2 hours later and now our conversation is really awkward. how do i break this awkwardness? i apolgized and he said he forgave me. but still. how do i break it and how can i control how much we fight?

many things aren't known. Is this an
internet only relationship or do you
see each other at school? How does he
know another guy asked you to be his
girlfriend?
People argue even in great relationships.
That isn't really a big deal. Since he
isn't letting it drop though, I have to
wonder if he isn't wanting you to call it
quits.
Simply refuse to argue any more
about it and see if he continues. If he
does, find a guy who treats you with
respect and trust.
Some guys just don't want to be the one
to break it up. They would rather you do
it so they look like the injured party. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

NO MAN should EVER cuss at you hit you etc... its not necessary so talk to him about boundaries... if you respect him then why should he get away with saying certain things... even if its out of anger he needs to learn to control that anger... change is good and if it benefits the person themself then they should be willing to... and remember.... if he cant respect you then he needs to realize what a great person he has next to him...
