People are badly affected by Anoerexia, My mums cousin died of anorexia, she was only 24 and weighed just 4 stone.
PLUS starving yourself can have the opposite affect that you think it will have, in most cases you stay the same weight OR gain weight. Your metabolism shuts down therefore if you do eat something occasionally it stores it straight into fat and will not burn it off because your metabolism is not speeding up.
I would suggest you eat a breakfast, something like porrige and a piece of fruit
Lunch a sandwich or pasta
Dinner grilled chicken or fish with veg
And exericse.
This is the NATURAL way to lose weight and if you do this the weight will STAY OFF!!

When you starve yourself, you deprive your body of the nutrients it needs to survive. Not to mention, when you don't eat often enough, your metabolism slows. Your metabolism is what helps you burn the calories you DO eat. When you're NOT eating, you gain weight because your body doesn't know how to burn what you put into it, if you put anything into it. It gets used to stockpiling what nutrients it does get, gets used to NOT burning it, and it's kinda hard to retrain your body.
Now, if you already have a fast metabolism, it can work short term, but if you start eating again, you'll gain weight.
So, basically, don't starve yourself unless you want to gain weight in the long run. My friend, also a former anorexic, put it very well: "We used to ride horses at day camp, and I always felt so bad for them. When I wasn't fat, I thought I was, and now that I don't think I was, I am!"
On a more sensitive note, I know what you're going through. I'm happy with my body now, but I wasn't for a very long time. I didn't even realize what I was doing when I wasn't eating. My choir director had to pull me into his office and ask me "okay, who are you and what did you do with my soprano?" before it occurred to me that what I was doing could be classified as an eating disorder. When I tried to eat and it made me feel sick, I knew I was in trouble. I went home for a break and told my mother to make me eat something every three hours, no matter what I said (I'll explain that in a minute), and it took months to reverse the slight damage I had done. Even now I have to count my calories a little to make sure I'm getting enough.
But onto what you CAN do to help yourself. First, look at yourself in the mirror, and make a list of ten things you LOVE about yourself. (I know it sounds cheesy, but listen to me: I've been there.)
Then, go on line and do some math. Check out our BMR (not BMI. BMR is more accurate, and will give you a calorie count to go by). [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) <--I used that one to calculate mine. Example, I'm 5'4" and I weigh about 125. By those numbers alone, I could stand to lose some weight. But as the link below the calculator suggests, once you know your BMR, calculate your daily calorie needs. I personally work out about six days a week, so I multiply my BMR by 1.725. To maintain my current shape, I have to get 2400 calories a day. Weight loss by calories alone is tricky, and never works. You also need exercise, and to eat the right balance of stuff.
So, after you look in the mirror and calculate your BMR, start thinking health food. Lean protein (poultry, fish, nonfat dairy), veggies, fruits, and nuts. Nuts are fats, but they're GOOD fats, AND they're protein. They're a great snack. That's another trick a lot of people aren't aware of: If you eat every three hours or so, you can kick your metabolism up a notch. (Also, make SURE you eat breakfast. It'll get your metabolism going in the morning.) I lost 20 pounds doing that. Granted, it took me awhile, but I'm a different and complicated case because crohn's disease can cause major weight fluctuations...but that's another story.
If you want to lose weight in a permanent way, make sure your calorie count does NOT drop below 1200 (and that's the MINIMUM amount of calories you should ever get. You really need at LEAST 1500 a day), eat small meals every three hours made of the right stuff, sleep enough, and start working out. Even just a walk around the neighborhood with a friend would help a little.
The thing is, though, you're not gonna have immediate results unless you're REALLY overweight, and I get the feeling you aren't. You have to stick to this stuff. Being healthy isn't a "diet," it's a lifestyle. If it's important to you, do what you need to do to get what you want. The beginning may be tedious, you may be frustrated, but the end results will be so rewarding it can become addictive. How do you think I wound up at the gym every day?
If you've tried all this stuff and you're still stuck, you might contact a nutritionist, and he or she may be able to help you find a personalized diet that will work for YOU. Society is tough on girls, but we can overcome it. Be strong, do what's right for your body.
