I know this is really not the answer you're looking for, but I really think it's best to get a different music player all together. I don't know where, I don't know how, but limewire is really dangerous.

My files got completely corrupted from downloading limewire, and it made a bunch of junk come up on my computer. It also opens your computer to a huge amount of viruses (I got a trojan horse that shut me out of my user). We had to wipe the entire computer clean and I lost everything (including my music, I was ready to kill someone).

A few people I know have similar "limewire/virus" stories to share as well. One girl's computer randomly shut down on her for instance.

But if that doesn't set you off the limewire tap, and you can decide for yourself, you can go into your anti-virus/firewall program (it should be seperate from the actual computar hardware) and disable the system while you download limewire. But be sure to turn it back on.

And once again, its really best to not get limewire anyway.

First off i hope you know the risks. Fines, sueing and super bad viruses. You take down your fire wall and your open to alot. If you still want to do it you have to go in manually through your My Computer thing and click on the viruses icon, not all computers have it but I have Vista and there's an icon for it. It'll show you from there how to take it down. If you can't do i suggest not doing it or getting a ' safer' download.

They all come with risks but BearShair is easier to download with no fire wall restriction.

Hpe I helped
