okay how do i get my toddler to stop biting people. And screaming. She is one and i understand it is normal but when you change her diaper she screams and she tries to bite you. She has bit me before and i bit her back, but not too hard. Just enough to let her know that it hurts. But how do i get her to stop. I tell her no and everything and i have put her in time out. She just screams and pulls her hair and bites. It has to stop.

B00TSZ answered Saturday April 26 2008, 11:39 am: i use to babysit these kids who would bit me any chance they got. i guess its some kind of phase they go through where they love to bit if you dont do EXACTLY what they want. start taking away her favorite things and let her throw he fit. the only reason she throws the fit is because she knows you pay attention for it. when i was little thats what i use to do. once they ignored me i stopped doing it. tell her that she cant go places if she doesnt stop. it doesnt look like time out is working so just let her sit on the floor and have her little tantrum. and about the biting. well i guess you cant really do anything about that except taking things about..you could tap her on the butt and tell her biting wont get her Christmas presents or something. its hard to say what to do for that. sorry i couldnt be much help. its just a phase she is going through i guess. sorry.
