on my computer, my pictures automatically open with quicktime picture viewer, but I want them to open with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. How can I change that? Also, my documents open with open office and I would like them to open with microsoft word... How do I change these two things? thanks !!

Right click the type of file you want to be opened with something else and go to "open with...". This will either expand a new menu or open a window. If it expands a new menu, click "choose program".

From the new window, choose the program you want this kind of file to be opened with from now on, and check the bottom checkbox. Then press ok.

If the program is not on the list, click "browse". Microsoft word 2003 is by default located C:program filesmicrosoft officeoffice11winword.exe. Other versions will be in a similar location. Picture and fax viewer will be on the list.
