what are the colors for moon rings and what do they mean?

I am assuming that you mean mood rings?

violet blue means happy, romantic
blue means calm and relaxed
green means average or neutral
yellow/amber means tense, excited
brown/gray means nervous, anxious
black means cold temperatures or broken ring

Mood rings work with your body temperature. That is how they work.
