so I'm kinda "lower" on the popularity totum pole I guess you could say,,,and like im going out wit this guy who is a bit above me, like we r friends and all but theres always those akward silence moments on our dates and i dont no what to say, so whats a good thing to talk about on a date?

Well, try to think of some topics to bring up before hand, so you'll have some basics done. Talk about anything! Remember, this guy asked you out because he likes you and wants to get to know you better, so some great convo starters would just be typiccal questions about music, sports, school, whatever. If he says something that you like or agree with, start talking about it. Also, what I like to do, is when you hit those awkward silent moments, say something like "Ha ha we ran out of things to talk about" or something. It's good to laugh at it, because it will kind of break the ice and loosen you up a bit. Make an inside joke about the silent moments so when you have one, you can laugh and say "Ah! talk! we ran out of things to talk about again!" Ha ha I love doing that, and it always works!
