How long does it take a laxative to work? o.O

Depends on the strength of the laxative and the person taking the laxative! If you buy an over the counter laxative it won't be as effective as a prescribed one, whereas if a person takes alot of laxatives anyway it won't be as effective as someone who never takes them. It's never normally instantaneous - in general takes a good few hours, and the degree to which it works as well varies so it is hard to say exactly...
