Question Posted Thursday March 27 2008, 6:56 pm

Hi, I'm a 15 year old girl and I still have never used a tampon. I'm really .. scared.. to try and I don't really know why. Everytime I do I kind of chicken out. I really need to learn because I am swimming soon and I need to be able to participate. I also don't want to talk to my mom about it because we don't talk about that stuff and I don't have any that I can try myself. Could you give me any advice you have on what I can do!?

They always gave me the creeps too.
There are a lot of good sites that
even include video on how to use them.
They can be difficult or impossible to
use if you are a virgin. The hymen
can prevent their use.

A lot of girls use them though, and
if you are going to be swimming you'll
need to at least give them a try. They
can be uncomfortable until you get
used to them. Don't let that discourage
you.

Here is a search that includes some
very good how to use information. :)
