This year (my sophmore yr of high school) I have started taking an interest in guys. I've had a couple boyfriends, but now I am single. In about 6 weeks I have band banquet, and I would like to have a date. Any advice on how to go about finding one? thankyou.

Go with someone you know really well. Going to a dance/formal is kind of weird and awkward for an actual date. If your good guy friends are already taken, then go through your yearbook or facebook/myspace friends to get ideas of who to ask. My friends always help me out with this- we ask advice from each other on who we should ask. My friends suggested that I ask someone that I had not even thought about asking, and I ended up having a great time with him. Just make sure that you're asking someone who would be fun to hang out with. If you have never had an actual fun conversation with them before at school, then don't ask them. But if they're the type of person that you would be comfortable with talking to on the phone, then you will most likely have a great time with them and it won't be awkward. I hope you have fun! ~ hope this helps ~
