When you buy online, if it doesn't fit, you can't return it. Also, when you try on dresses at a shop, you can see how they actually look on you before you buy it, and most of the time the shop can alter it for you if it's too long or whatever. This year I ended up buying a dress that I thought I would hate, but when I tried it on it was really pretty. So go ahead and go online and look at dresses that you might like, but I really think you should go try on dresses at a store before you order online. Bridal shops and some department stores normally have great dresses for prom. [ uisforukelele's advice column | Ask uisforukelele A Question ]

i would go to a dress shop and get your size online,
there is alot of dresses on www.ebay.com
you can also get alterations if the dress is to small.
don't deside on the first one you like but try on different styles to see what you like the most
hope this helps:)
