I can't decide if this guy likes me or if hes a player. He always text me and uses like a ton of smilie faces. He talks to my friends about me and tells them how im hot and how he wants to make out in a hot tub with me. He tells me he loves me but then we will have like an awkward silence and he wont text back for a while. Or hed rather talk about me to my friends then text me. Im lost with signals.

in a way it sounds like he is a player. the whole "make out in a hot tub with me" thing and how he'd rather talk about you to your friends than text you. or maybe he just doesn't know how you actually feel about him and he doesn't want to get rejected and maybe he's just faking a player act to hide himself from getting hurt. your best bet is to call him on it, ask him if he really cares about you or if he just wants someone to hook up with. that's the only way you will completely know the truth.

He could be a player, it kind of sounds like it... but then again, it could also be that his personality. I have known many a guy that wasn't a player, but just sounded like one. Sometimes they are, and that is why it's so hard. What you have to decide is if you like him, and if you are willing to put yourself in that situation... Talk to him about anything, get to know him better. I know it may sound stupid, but the more you know him the better chance you will be able to tell if he's a player or a player -look-alike... I hope that it helps, and don't be discouraged if he's a player...a good guy will come around.
