i have dark brown hair and im pretty bored of it so i was thinking taking a strip of hair from the back (a piece closest to the neck) and dying hot pink or purple.. any advice on how that will look and which dye to use because i dont want to go to a salon

My friend did the same thing. She has a dark brown hair and she has like a pink in the back of her hair. It wasn't like hot pink , it was just like a pinkish purple. I think it looks pretty good, i'm not sure about the kind of dye you could use, but i know it looks pretty good =]
