Siren_Cytherea answered Monday March 17 2008, 11:38 am:
It depends on your vocal maturity, and USUALLY doesn't have much to do with age. I've had a vibrato since I was I think eleven or so, but I know an eighteen year old whose vibrato is just developing.
It depends on vocal resonance - I'm blanking on some of my vocal tech class, but having fully developed vibrato has a lot to do with whether or not your voice resonates in all the right places and if your instrument is completely open versus closed off or tense in some places.
But by young I imagine I meant 14 or younger - either 13 or 14 are the ages I believe you're supposed to start voice lessons, no younger, or damage can be done to the vocal cords.
Did this answer your question?
(If not, elaborate and I'll see what I can do ^_^)
