Im almost 15 and a girl and I have a friend who is 3 and a half years older then me but still we are more than friends. Me and him have had sex for the past two years at least once a week share each others money, and see each other everyday. he was even living with me for a while. thing is he doesnt want to be more than friends and i do. He says its the age diffrence but the only person who could cause problems would be my mom and she wants together. His mom does too! Ive talked to him about this a while back and this was still his reason but this was about 6 months ago. Now i just dont know how to bring up with him. I have never cared about anyone like i care about him. Everyone says i should just give up and leave him alone but i cant even if we stay friends with the things going on in my life i couldnt make it without him. But im still getting hurt with the reletionship and know what to do. Advice?
CaliforniaLover1111 answered Tuesday March 11 2008, 3:09 pm: the age difference is definitely okay... its not a big deal at all... so that would be weird that he thinks its such a big deal... are you sure he is 100% committed to you? like do u know for a fact that he doesnt or hasnt fooled around with other girls...because his issue could be that hes scared of the commitment... personally, you have a right to know... i mean, you love this guy and you just need to know whether you two have a future together or not...so just ask him... and if he says no then i really think you need to stop talking to him... because if you still keep him in your life youre never gonna get over him! and yeah its gonna be hard...heartbreak is never easy...and it may take days, months, even years before you are ready to move on but by cutting him out of your life its going to be the best healing process for you...and who knows...in your time apart he may come to realize that he needs you just as much as you need him... but i really hope you two do work out :) [ CaliforniaLover1111's advice column | Ask CaliforniaLover1111 A Question ]
