I work at an optometry office, and I am guessing you are new to contacts and waiting to go back for your two week check. Once you take it out of your eye, put the contact in your clean hand, and put solution on it, rubbing it very gently. DO NOT use water. It will cause the contact to expand and it will not go back into your eye! Once you do that it should be okay to go back in your eye. However, if the mascara does not get off the contact for whatever reason, or you tear your contact while cleaning it just call the optometry office that dispensed those contacts to you to get a new one. DO NOT wait until your two week check to ask for a replacement contact, because then they will not be able to check your contacts, and they will have to reschedule your appointment. (We get people that do that allllll the time. Trust me.) :-) [ AquamarineRose's advice column | Ask AquamarineRose A Question ]
