You could try baking his favorite type of cookies...boys love it when you give them a gift they know you put time and effort into. =]

you don't have to buy him a new ipod for a gift, but you could buy him a cd of his favorite band or one that he likes and you know he doesn't have, that way he can have some music to listen to without his ipod. if you know what his favorite sports team is, you could get him a shirt with that on it. you could make him a mixed cd with songs you know he likes, or songs that remind you of him, romantic songs, etc. if you happen to know a type of monopoly game he doesn't have you could get him that. or, you could make him a nice dinner if you can cook. you could offer to do something he wants to do, lke go bowling or go see a movie he wants to and offer to pay for it. if he reads you could get him a book by his favorite author. it sounds like you already have a little bit planned out, and as long as he sees you put thought into it and took some time he will appreciate it.

You could try going to a sports store, or something of that type, and seeing if they have any good sports jerseys, miniature stuffed mascots wearing a team jersey, ect. You usually can't go wrong if you stick to buying stuff from your hometown. Unless, of course, you live in New England and you but a Yankees Jersey =]

Don't stress about the gift so much, though. It's valentine's day, so more than ever it's all about the thought.

On their own, the card and the chocolates are probably already enough.

Okay, if your loved one is into Sports, music, and Monopoly games, then...get him a another Monopoly game for his collection, a CD of his favorite band or etc, and as for sports, do you think you have enough cash to take him to a game? Then afterwards you can do what you want to do. I'm just brainstorming here, and I hope it's helping you. I'm sure whatever you decide to give him he'll love it dearly. It's the thought that matters after all.

To get rid of your fear of him secretly not liking your presents, then shake it off--I mean like, get ride of that annoying habit. Did you know that almost everything you do is out of habit? Just replace that one with a better one, like using your five senses to see that he absolutely likes it. :)

-Hope you have a happy Valentine's day!
