files that wont download

everytime i try to download something off of download.com it downloads but when i go to run the program it says files are corrupted. why is it saying that?

That means the file didn't download properly. It only downloaded part of it. If you are using a dial-up connection, this is to be expected. If you are using a non-standard browser such as AOL explorer, that can also be the cause.

I recommend you download Free Download Manager:

It will download things properly, unless your Internet connection really sucks horribly.

If you are unable to download Free Download Manager because of this problem, get a friend to put it on a CD for you.
