audio cable extension
i have a cable that connects my stereo to my laptop through the microphone port is there any cable that can extend it to make itlonger? sites that carry them or the actual name of the cable would be helpful please

The standard microphone port, which looks like this:

is called a minijack cable/port. A cord which extends it is called a "minijack extender" or "minijack extension cord".
If your computer uses some other type of cord for this, then it is probably proprietary and you'll need to contact the manufacturer.
