Newbie.
I want more than anything to design clothes. I'm fed up with having to pick from designs of other designers instead of being able to wear the styles that I think about. I live in Rhode Island. I have NO experience with anything pertaining to fashion. I can't sew, knit, or do any other skill along those lines. Can someone please help me get my desire to be a clothes designer off the ground? I'm very interested in taking classes anywhere in Rhode Island. If anyone knows of any, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I'm not sure what is in Rhose Island, and since you did not include your ago I'm not sure..but if your in high school, you probably have fashion classes or something. College.. take some fashion classes. If you are out of school, the best I can say is to look online or in phone books for places that do sewing and knitting lessons. I know there are some, pretty much everywhere they have some, just not exactly sure where or how much it would be. That's all i can think of to do =]

You don't have to MAKE the clothes. Draw them out and ask a friend or relative to make a couple. Show them to your friends.
