open mics for a 16 year old or anyother place i can performm

ok so im 16 f
and i love singing and i love getting in front of a crowd and perform so i have been dying to go to an open mic here in new york but most of them are 21 or older becuase i guess they are in bars and clubs. where else can i perform and can you guys please help me find cafes that have open mics in new york or just any other place where i can perform and just have fun thanks so much!

Well you can join a performing arts club. They usually do musicals and things. But I'm pretty sure they preform for schools.
