What does it mean when someone bends the spine of the book? Is it like when the side of the cover is white and crinkled and there's lines on it from opening the book too wide? Well i think that's what it's called.
I'm borrowing a friend's novel, how can i make sure i dont' ruin it?
uisforukelele answered Friday January 25 2008, 8:30 pm: you really only have to worry about it if it's a paperback, but just don't open it too far and you will be okay. like, open it just enough so that you can read it comfortably. i've been in your situation too, and when i did that it worked for me. as long as you don't open it to the point where you are basically bending it as you read, you will be perfectly fine.
