hey, well i live in anaheim, ca. anyways, there is always things on the paper that look for volunteer work.
i don't know about your school, but at my school we have clubs that do volunteer work. and we always have r.o.p. basically, it's a program where you get to choose what you do. and they have different things to choose from. i am currently taking care of little kids in pre-school. but there are so much more.

If you like animals and taking care of them, you might want to check out animal shelters in your local area. Look in phone books and newspapers to find some locations. You can also search the web for other volunteer work around your city.
