If i turned in my ipod, even without the headphones, just the ipod i got 10% off my video ipod. I have proof, it's in the reciept. You fill out a simple form, and that's it!
If you notice on many websites they say they have refurbished ipods. That means they take the ipods that people have turned in and fixed them.
So ignore the person below me!

It's like a buying a car and then trading it in for a newer model, you're still having to pay money for the new car.
If it were new and still in the box (unopened) and you had a receipt, you can get a store credit at Apple. They'll only give you the lowest sale price though.
