Web Cam

Question Posted Saturday January 12 2008, 4:26 pm

for christmas, one of my presents was a new laptop. its a gateway T-1616, and it has a webcam. my problem is that the webcam doesn't seem to work. its a 1.3 megapixel. and i go to open it, and it says "graph render fail". if anyone can help me on this, or like what it means or how to fix it, that would be great.

You need updated drivers. Here is the proper version for you:
[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
After you download the file, follow these instructions, copied from Gateway's site:

After you have downloaded and double-clicked the file (D20189-001-002.exe), files self-extract and copy into the C:CabsD20189-001-002 folder on the hard drive.

1. From the Start menu, click Run.

2. In the Run dialog box, type: C:CabsD20189-001-002Setup.exe. Click OK.

3. Follow all onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

After you finish the installation and restart your computer, the camera should work. Good luck!
